The gods --- a review before the U.N. anti-blasphemy resolution outlaws it.

Yahweh, God, Allah, God (of the American Black slaves) ARE NOT THE SAME Deity (click new religions for major differences).  Beyond those very large differences in these gods, we have their pantheons which are very similar to the Greek and Roman pantheons.  In "modern monotheism" (the "one God" oxymoron) we have a large number of immortals living on the modern Mount Olympus called Heaven.

In all cases we have an immortal god of good fighting an immortal god of evil down through history using mortals (human beings) as cannon fodder.  Hence the oxymoron aspect of "modern monotheism".  Beyond these 2 immortal gods (The Father and The Devil), we have additional immortal deities: The Son (Jesus Christ), The Mother (Mary) and The Holy Ghost.  The Christian pantheon is filled out with The Angels and The Saints, all living in Heaven (the new Mount Olympus).  They are all immortals, and therefore meet the definition of gods in Greek and Roman mythology.  Because we call it monotheism, does not make it so.

We also have a large number of demigods (click Power Mad Nuts).  The economic empires of the rich often outlive their founders.  The heirs become the "High Priest" of the power of the money.  These demigods often battle each other to expand/grow these economic empires, again using people as cannon fodder.  e.g. Arms production and sales empires require constant wars to expand/grow (click Killer Religions). 

Now we have a new science (The Physics of Thought) which points out the existence of many immortal Bodies of Thought that control human beings (click the gods).  We have external controlling Bodies of Thought such as Culture and Religion.  And we have internal Bodies of Thought that control us like Fear, Puberty, etc.

Now that the U.N. is about to outlaw "blasphemy" (or any criticism of religion), it is necessary that this information be brought to the attention of the world.  The very concept of "blasphemy" implies "there can be no truth but our truth".  This concept has historically been used by the Killer Religions to suppress another truth I believe to be absolute:  If the GOD you worship TELLS YOU TO KILL anyone for any reason, you are worshipping a GOD OF EVIL not a GOD OF GOOD.

Far Above and way beyond all of this is The Truth attained via the pursuit of Personal Enlightenment.  The Truth is above and beyond any human concept of any god.  One method of seeking enlightenment is to find The Source of Thought in oneself (click Experimental verification).  At first flash of enlightenment it becomes clear that all of the Bodies of Thought discussed above (gods and mortals) are connected to, and part of, The Source of Thought.  The experience makes the concept of a god, that has the worst characteristics of human beings (jealousy, vindictiveness, megalomania), as juvenile as a Santa Clause for adults.  And our concepts of gods  (Yahweh, God, Allah) have no more relationship to reality than the Easter Bunny has to the Son of God.

The TAO and Yin/Yang are closer conceptually.  Satori, Nirvana and moksha (Atman = Brahma) are meaningful concepts in the context of the pursuit of personal enlightenment.
