Thought is NOTHING with the POWER and the GLORY FOREVER

And MAN is an animal on a mental leash

There are some thoughts that we control “shall I do this or that” and

There are some thoughts that control us; like culture and/or religion.

There are some thoughts that are “hard-wired” into our system: instincts.

Before we can understand the forgoing statements, it will be necessary to expand our perspective.

I asked my students to name a real, live, non-ethereal entity that has a mind “much, much” larger (by several orders of magnitude) than the mind of a human being. For simplicity’s sake, use a single “mind size” factor: The ability to store information and retrieve it for use. The first response from most is “God” and I have to remind them that this is a NON-ETHEREAL, REAL, LIVE entity living here on earth. Some said dolphins but most are stuck for an answer. Finally, I would say the zygote is one: A living cell.

This microscopic cell (the zygote) has enough information stored in it, or accessible by it, to recreate a human being, right down to the minute details of hair and eye color, internal organs, sucking program (called instinct), operating system, etc. We humans do not have that much information in our heads. We do not have that much information in all the books and computer databases, medical or biological in the entire world, hence the “much, much” larger aspect. We (humanity) do not know how to recreate a human being (or any other animal) and we cannot do it other than by assisting the cell in “doing ITS thing”.

We tend to discount the living cell as a non-thinking “biological machine”. But it was here first. And each of us is an “extremely large automated city” of such cells grown by, and from, a single cell (zygote) from our parents. That one cell built the “computerized city” from a blueprint (internally stored information): a genetic program. The cells installed the software (Operating System, operational programs like instincts, etc,) too.

Remember, we humans woke up 10 – 20 thousand years ago and started trying to “figure out” what’s going on. The cells, of which we are composed, have been “doing their thing” for at least a billion years. Each of us comes from one microscopic cell like every other living thing. We, humans, are like the most advanced automated biological machine the cells have made/evolved to see and experience/modify their macrocosm; As we are exploring and building things to enter our macrocosm (Space, the Universe).

In the following, a distinction is made between the thoughts/programs that come from the inside (genetic: “in your blood (red)”) and those thoughts/programs that come from the outside (learned: “blue sky stuff”) by the colors shown.

THOUGHTS THAT CONTROL US: (from the outside)

We like to think that we control all our thoughts. Consider the “Flat Earth” thought. This body of thought (program running in human processors) ruled the world for centuries. Many people were burned at the stake for the blasphemy of entertaining the “Earth is Round” thought. A body of thought that exist for centuries is immortal (relative to us anyway). A body of thought with enough power to cause people to kill other people is as powerful as any of the Roman, Greek or Egyptian gods were thought to be. And like the god Jupiter and his Titan father, they cannot be killed. Jupiter had to “bury” (render powerless) the Titans.

The “Flat Earth” (immortal body of thought) is powerless (to kill people) today. Although there are “Flat Earth” societies today, the body of thought was rendered powerless by the growing body of thought (it tried to suppress) we call “Science”. Never-the-less, the “Flat Earth” body of thought fought hard through the minds of people for centuries to kill all adherents to the “Earth is Round” thought. This “Flat Earth” body of thought was a foot soldier (subprogram) of the much larger and more powerful immortal body of thought “Medieval Christianity”. This immortal body of thought slaughtered and enslaved millions of human beings over several centuries in the name of its associated Deity/Pantheon/Myths. (Pantheon includes the other immortals in the Myths: The Mother, The Father, The Son, The Holy Ghost, The Angels, The Saints, The Devil, etc.)

Culture/Religion were once the repository of “survival information” taught to each generation. “Taught” here reads more like “programmed” into the minds of each generation. This is the way these immortal bodies of thought maintain their immortality: Each generation of mortals must plant (connect, indoctrinate) these bodies of thoughts in the minds of their children. After all, these WERE survival information/thoughts.

Culture/Religion became anti-survival when it started causing people to kill each other, not over food, shelter or land, but ideas (other bodies of thought – a set of myths, an associated philosophy justifying orders to action). Thus the battles of the immortal bodies of thought using people as the armor and weapons. (Does this sound like the Iliad?) Who or what is surviving here? These immortal bodies of thought continue to kill off each other’s humans (animals on a mental leash) century after century. This killing in the name of one Culture/Religion or another continues today and shows no sign of decreasing, much less ending.

“Wait a minute here”, skepticism steps in. “These so-called immortal bodies of thought are not real entities in their own right, they are just thoughts in the minds of individuals. It is we who are killing each other.”

I thought, how do we know those immortal bodies of thought are alive? How could we prove, or even show, the truth or falsity of these things being alive. When we see something under the microscope and ask the same question, we “feed it” or “stick a pin in it” and look for reactions. Looking out here in Thought Space, trying to stick a pin in the bubble of someone’s cultural/religious body of thought, can get you killed on the spot. Socrates is the story (body of information) that shows the truth of the foregoing statement. First will come reasonable sounding arguments against your different, or anti-, cultural/religious thoughts in order to try to indoctrinate and convert you. If you persist, next comes bombastic (more forceful and less rational) arguments. Persistence beyond this point is to risk violent physical assault. This thing not only bites off the pin we tried to stick it with, but the pin holder as well as any associated group or groups of people. The Inquisition is only one of many historic examples of the horror wrought by one culture/religion upon any/all opposing body of thought carriers as “possessed by the devil”.

It would be little difference than if an alien came to earth, took over the minds of men via tele-hypnosis and ordered them to kill any who could not be hypnotized. Would we know the difference? I mean, look at the irrationality of killing people in the name of a God that commands “Thou shall not kill”. Yet the history of western civilization is the murder, rape, plunder, pillage, enslavement and discrimination by Christians in the name of God. Hence it is necessary to separate these immortal bodies of thought: “God” concept which says one thing and “Christianity” which does something else; similarly “Allah” and “Islam”; “Yahweh” and “Judaism”. NONE OF THESE immortal bodies of thought IS THE SAME. Most of the killing of people in the world today is the result of the on-going battles among these immortal bodies of thought --- the gods.

Another example of the difference (and conflicts) between “God” and “Christianity” is shown in how we think of Gods Perfect Creations. God gave women hair on their legs and under their arms, we say we can improve on that. He also gave us odors, we say oh no, we can’t stand it. He said sex at puberty, we say we can’t allow that. We must make the kids wait several years. That should drive them crazy enough to kill. “Allah” and “Islam” have similar anomalies. These immortal bodies of thought (like Islam and Christianity) are at war, with each attempting to kill off or convert everyone under the control of the other. Humanity suffers horribly as a result.

THOUGHTS THAT CONTROL US: (from the inside)

The first thought we feel the control of, is fear. We understand more of this built-in immortal body of thought, than possibly any other built-in thoughts (programs). We know that adrenaline (Physical) and fear (Mental) are strongly related. We now use terms such as “adrenaline junkies” when describing participants in some “extreme sports”. Much of the world’s cultural training for men is to face, harness and control fear. Each generation of teens finds new ways to scare themselves “half to death” in order to define their control over the “Fight or Flight” mechanisms run by the fear programs.

Another major thought we feel the control of, is puberty/sex. The procreation imperative is one of the major programs in maintaining our species. It is extremely strong on many levels including major physical changes. When puberty comes we are all smacked around by the hormones released into our bodies by this built-in immortal body of thought. “Sexual Desire” (part of the procreation imperative) is seen as one of the immortal devils of some religious groups. The centuries old conflict between “Religious Sexual Repression” and “Sexual Desire” dominates the stories, myths of human history and the “soap operas” and “talk shows” of the present.

This situation is complicated by some control programs that take the sexual function away from the conscious control of men. I mean, for example, men cannot always produce tumescence at will. It is thoughts (visual, memory, etc.) that produces erections. New drugs such as Viagra are taking some of that control back and giving it to the conscious mind of the men for whom this drug works. Fear of failure to be able to perform triggers other internal programs that interfere with the tumescence control program. Thus creating a vicious fear circle leading to, and maintaining, impotence. Seeking the “variety is the spice of life” remedy for always incipient impotence, men have an unbroken history of promiscuity.

Mother Nature (evolution and/or God) made it such that every man is a potential race of men. This is not true for women. A woman can have 20 or so children in her lifetime.

Give a man 100 women, you will have 100 children in one year. You won’t have to twist his arm or give him extensive counseling. Man’s mind is predisposed have sex with as many women as he can. (Above I called this the procreation imperative ) That is, it requires no mental adjustment from puberty to accomplish this internal command: “Be a race of men”. On the other hand it requires considerable and continuous effort to maintain monogamy in men. The best of statistical information tell us that half the men have “cheated” on their women. Half of the remaining wish they could try another woman.

That is 2000 children in 20 years.

Repression of sexual expression produces violence in men. The imperative says you haven’t spread our seed, get out and fight to do so, to the death if necessary. Fighting was the preferred avenue for obtaining women. Remember that women, for over 99% of human history, were part of the spoils of war. One major religion/culture promises men, who die in holy war, endless women with renewable virginity, and endless strength to enjoy all those women, in the after-life.

Let me remind you that we are talking about extremely long lived (immortal) bodies of thought that effect the activities of the human brain/mind/body systems. These are thoughts that control us.

We humans have a built-in transcendence/ascendance program. We are always pushing the limits of everything we learn and do. We seek, reach for, grab and keep power. We are all always trying to “move up”. Each generation looks at what they were taught and tries to find new ways to do everything (the terrible teens). Many animals establish “pecking orders”, but humans keep trying to out-do each other throughout life. Our curiosity (part of the transcendence/ascendance program) drives us into the “what happens if I do this?” part of pushing the limits.

The Ascendancy part of that program drives us hard our entire lives. It is responsible for our climb from the mud and the caves to the Pyramids and modern "civilization". It has caused wars of death and destruction as one group is driven to overtake and surpass another --- The oppressed eventually destroy and replace the oppressors (that's why it was illegal to teach a slave to read) --- It has leapfrogged humanity "forward" repeatedly. We are all always trying to find a better way (some cultures/religions suppress this to survive) to do everything. As one Culture/religion (Body of information) emerges, it is pitted against any Culture/religion that is different. --- Survival of the fittest Body of Thought that controls human beings. If we learn anything from Genetic Programming, it is that The Hardware and The Software, of life on earth, evolved together. The Ascendancy part of our Software is responsible for evolving all of our External Software (controlling Bodies of Information/Thought).

Ascendancy is responsible for Power Seeking, One-up-man-ship, competitiveness, etc., in the human being. We love Power as individuals (from earliest childhood's attention getting). We seek it in every part of our lives. It is not only the "survival of the fittest" physically, but mentally (built in Software) and mentally (controlling cultural/religious Body of Thought) as well. The survival of the fittest Bodies of Thought (including Information about Bodies of Thought and/or Information) is part of the human evolutionary process.

One major aspect (subprogram) of Ascendancy is our Communications Imperative. It makes us tell everything we know to everyone, when we are children. We soon learn that knowledge is power. We become careful about to whom we tell what. But we must tell someone(s) sooner or later.

MAYBE: We may find that being held "incommunicado" is as serious as sensory deprivation. We may also find that there is some "Conservation of Information" law in this universe. Call it a Negative Entropy law that Information is never lost or destroyed, only added to, moved around and always generating more Negative Entropy by its continued existence. Yes, there are consequences of these trees falling/being in the woods even when there's no-one around to hear or see.

Other built in thoughts that control human beings:

The Sleep Imperative takes complete control of all of us. If ignored, it will knock us out. Here is another internal program that is not under our conscious control. Indications are, from the Infinite Capacity Memory chapter, that other internal programs are folding short term memory information into long term memory in Information Space while we sleep.

Men could wonder about how and why the Procreation Imperative’s Programs have complete control of our tumescence. We cannot raise it up like we can raise an arm. When we are young (post puberty) it is automatic and we are driven to pursue sex. As we get older, we have to produce thoughts and/or mental pictures in order to be able to function sexually. We cannot always produce an erection when we want to.
