ENTROPY and INFORMATION

From elementary classical thermodynamics we know that information (I) is negative entropy (-S).

This additive inverse is real, not a mathematical fudge that has no connection to reality. The classical theory that the Universe was running down as a result of the stars’ generation of entropy might be flawed. My thought was that if information actually equals negative entropy then the existence of LIFE represents a potential balance to the Sun’s positive entropy output. All living things gather and process information, if only about where and how food and mates can be obtained. That activity generates negative entropy.

In the terminology of statistical thermodynamics, where entropy is shown to be a measure of chaos, we human beings create order when we build our things (buildings, cars, etc.) or record information. We create machines that create order (generate / produce negative entropy) when we build and program computers to perform skilled labor repeatedly. So do the ants building their habitat.

Cosmological impact: Extending this concept to the Universe, I put forth the theory that there is life associated with every star as a consequence of the star’s (entropy balanced) existence.

This is a representation of one individual’s information space (of possibly many dimensions )and the memory connection. Other individuals can be represented by other lines intersecting our real space-time T (see fig. 32).

Geometrically we can draw an infinite number of lines intersecting real space-time T representing every living person, animal, plant, cell, virus, (anything with a genetic memory).

In reality we have been looking at a T ^'axis for a single individual (one person’s thought space, subjective time and information space). Now we must consider a space of T ^'axes. Suddenly we seem to have the tail wagging the dog. Suddenly these lines become the “big thing” while our space-time reality is a point coming out of the page.

Geometrically we know that two n-dimensional things intersect in an (n-1)-dimensional thing. i.e. Two lines (1-dimension) intersect in a point (0-dimension); Two planes (2-dimension) intersect in a line (1-dimension); Two 3-dimensional objects intersect in a plane (2—dimension); Two 4-dimensional objects intersect in a 3-dimensional object; etc. The implication is that 3-dimensional realty exists at (because of?) the intersection of two or more 4-dimensional objects (thoughts).

Our new reality has become a much larger REALITY: The Thought Space, Subjective Time, Information Space of EVERY LIVING THING and The Source of Thought. That "All Thoughts at Once" concept becomes clearer in the representation of fig. 33; where every line leaving the Source (+) touches OUR REAL SPACE-TIME (-)through a living (has genetic memory) organism.

This is consistent with the experience, and descriptions of the experience, of The Enlightened State: All thoughts flow from this point. This is why the initial impression of this state is that “I’m God”. This is followed by the realization that this is another elaborate mechanism like the physical universe appears to be. Mechanism: Like a giant super-DNA-like-computer (I think a question, the answer appears); The only personality there was mine. However, the absolute knowledge of the unity of all life also flows from this experience.

It must be noted that Fig. 33 is not depicting two separate and/or different things (+) and (-). IT is ONE THING / mechanism / entity.

A speculative analogy provides a visualization: Consider the paramecium-like picture of figure 34.

Remember this one celled animal moves around by means of wriggling its cilia in patterns. It also uses its cilia to grasp and hold food. In fig. 34 we are not looking at a one celled animal. The cilia seem to perform a similar function as illustrated in fig.35.

Here one of the cilia is magnified to reveal these “cilia” to be all living things (with DNA-memory) directly connected to the Source of Thought. This LIVING thing/mechanism/entity extrudes living things into the “adjacent” space-time to “tame” the external environment AND SURVIVE. i.e. push it through time as shown in fig. 36. Consider fig. 35 as fig. 32 turned inside out. Similarly, fig. 36 as fig. 33 turned inside out.

This, LIVING thing/mechanism/entity, I have labeled LIFE has been operating here on earth for hundreds of millions of years before its latest type of “cilia” called man was extruded.

The analogy of fig. 36, which appears to turn our universe inside out, holds a lot of water. This will become obvious when we start to discuss bodies of thought that control human behavior/activities.

The multidimensional geometry of this speculative analogy leads to further speculation. Returning to the geometry, let us look specifically at 4-dimensional geometry where two 4-dimensional objects intersect in a 3-dimensional object. We now know that we have a multi-dimensional space (sum of all T ^'each including a thought space, subjective time, information space) connected to real space-time through each mind/neural-network. This should have been obvious before if only from the fact (we dismissed as a tautology) that ALL MAN-MADE OBJECTS ORIGINATED IN SOMEONE’S MIND. The elaborate programs (like computer programs only bigger and better) executed by DNA were our next clue.

This speculative analogy arises from a look at 4 dimensional geometry theory. The diagram of Fig. 37 shows the impact of a 4-dimensional energy ray on a 4-dimension surface.

The refraction of the 4-D energy into a “Light and Thought” spectrum is shown to make a point: When the contiguous points of the 4-D surface exposed to the 4-D energy are seen from 3-dimensional space, they (the contiguous surface points) appear as separate holes in space out of which energy (radiation) comes. These holes in space would look to our 3-dimensional senses like the stars. The Thought part, of that spectrum shown, would manifest itself as the evolution of information gathering/processing, negative entropy generating, living things in the vicinity of these stars.

What we’re saying here is that an information component, containing a large ascendancy (keep moving up) program, came out of that hole in space-time. We’ll talk later about storing / retrieving information into / from holes in space-time. For now let’s give the full names of these components in fig. 38.

I have always said that if the Universe is ordered, then any randomness we see is a measure of our ignorance of cause(s) and effect(s). To primitive man the weather was random; like the whims of a person or an animal. I have shown, in fig 38, an ordered Universe such that information about (“apparently” disordered) action is part of the action. This information is stored in another dimension we are here naming information space.

++++++ what has a mind much much larger than the mind of man ++++

I asked my students to name a real, live, non-ethereal entity that has a mind “much much” (>10¹⁰⁰) larger than the mind of a human being. For simplicity’s sake let’s use a single “mind size” factor: The ability to store information and retrieve it for use. The first response from most is God and I have to remind them that this is a NON-ETHEREAL REAL LIVE entity living here on earth. Some people said dolphins but most are stuck for an answer. Finally I say the zygote is one: A living cell.

This cell has enough information stored in its information space to recreate a human being, right down to the minute details of hair and eye color, internal organs, sucking/crying/yawning programs (called instinct), operating system, etc. We humans do not have that much information in our heads. We do not have that much information in all the books and computer databases, medical or biological in the entire world, hence the “much much” larger aspect. We (humanity) do not know how to recreate a human being and we cannot do it other than by using the cell.

We tend to discount the living cell as a non-thinking biological machine. Yet each of us is an “extremely large automated city” of such cells grown by and from a single cell (zygote) from our parents. That one cell built the ”computerized city” from a blueprint (internally stored information): a genetic program. The cells built (evolved) the software (operational program) too.

Examples of the complex activity programmed into the animal --- from the birth of herd animals whose offspring must be up and walking in minutes --- to the hatching of a chicken (pecks its way out of its egg, shakes itself, says “peep-peep”and walks off pecking for food). We have a collective word for these preprogrammed activities: instinct. Birds know how to build a nest.

We have learned in the biological arena that the cell contains information about earlier more primitive “cities” of cells. Every living thing on earth is a “city” of cells built by a single cell from its parents.

These cells have been doing their thing for more than a billion years to bring us here with full ecological support. We (humanity) “woke up” ten-thousand years ago and started wondering what this spaceship called earth is all about. We arrogantly proclaim we are the only thinking entities on the planet. What about the cell as a thinking, being, doing, evolving entity? We proclaim that the ecology (cell “cities”) evolved that supports us is an accident or the work of the gods: Ra, Isis, Osirus, ... Olorun, Orisha, ... Zeus, Ares, Aphrodite, ... Jupiter, Mars, Venus from the past to Yaweth, God and Allah of the present.

In any case the information the cells use to build their “cities” (plants and animals), conquer this planet and reach for the stars is contained in every (plant or animal) cell. A deity may have initiated this information gathering conduit for ecological expansion via heavy competition, but it is the cell that did/does the work. It is the living cell that has the most information here on this earth.
