notes

1. tax incentives to vote

2..when your boss fires you and black list you, you may fall to the bottom --- fear of such makes you do whatever the boss says --- isn't this slavery

3. power, like a whip, is useless unless you can exercise it (have someone to beat)

4. CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) should have produced programs and tapes to teach everything using the best teachers.  It isn't profitable so we don't have it.

5. Most homes are not democratic or democratically run

6. Good products often squeezed out by bigger busine$$' lousy more expensive junk which they later cancel after the failure of the competition --- the people are left with nothing (worst case), an inferior product otherwise

7. Brain storming like TQM after preface maybe is the way to go??

"An example of brainstorming would be the following list

List  ... " could be an organized approach that permits almost anything to be said (blasphemy, sexist [there are countries in the world where men completely control women {slavery?}, it turns men on sexually to contemplate such control over women] , racist [do we really want blue eyed blondes to disappear as humanity becomes some beautiful golden skinned everyone or white everyone??], etc.) ... listed and expanded in the follow up

8. Give this brainstorming, of F D C, a 6 way tug of war, to the world as a challenge: do this brainstorming everywhere in the world better than it is done here.  Refine it and pass it on --- an ever improving civilization.  Make it a world religion of elevating civilization everywhere in the world.

9. Is "consensus" a step beyond democracy?

10. teach (include Computer Aided Instruction in multimedia PC's for all) all children to think, debate, participate in politics (show them that they must lest power mad nuts will keep taking over), interview for jobs, ... make love? ...

11. Power Mad Nuts - Power Driven Megalomaniacs - the gods? --- the wealth and power often outlive the individual that founded the dynasty.  The thrones of monarchies (incl churches), the thrones of empires (especially economic empires), the thrones of despots, giant corporations, etc. are some examples.  In many ways it (big money power) is immortal, relative to human life spans.  "Heavy is the Crown" of the high priests (custodians, heirs, rulers, etc.) of these deities.  Power corrupts, like dope (drugs) it seduces their minds to believe they are entitled to exercise their power over their children, their subordinates, ..., their companies, ..., the nation, ... the world!  Their minds are too often further seduced to believe that the lives of a few people is to the greater good of their higher goals.  Then more people are sacrificed ... WARS, REVOLTS, REVOLUTIONS, MASS MURDER, MASS ENSLAVEMENT, MASS EXTERMINATION, the list presented by relatively recent (post {?} barbarian era) history is long.  ...  The world tends to worship the rich and powerful and they in turn tend to expect it.  It is the on-going fighting among these gods that is the cause of most/much of the misery on earth.  You know the drill --- hire, train and arm some thugs from country A --- send them to country B to kill people in the name of country A --- sell arms to both sides --- BIG MONEY GETS BIGGER.

12. Illegal taxes: Sales, excise, gasoline, telephone, electric, alcohol, cigarettes, other hidden taxes, multiply taxed income, surcharges ... every tax except income taxes.  They are all gimmicks that unfairly tax some subgroup(s), fool the taxpayers by hiding the tax and prevent all taxpayers from knowing exactly how much they are paying in taxes (Relatively, to others, and Absolutely).  Even with careful record keeping and a computer, it is difficult to determine exactly how much one pays in taxes but what one finds is staggering: thousands of dollars are added to your regular income taxes.

Look at the taxes and surcharges (another name for tax) on your electric or telephone bill as an example of additional taxes levied by various government agencies.  Don't forget the price of a gallon of gas or a pack of cigarettes is 50% - 80% taxes. These numbers are significant because we could be paying 50% - 80%  of our income in taxes (federal, state, city / local, sales, gasoline, etc., etc.) without knowing it. This is why these taxes should be illegal.  Taxpayers have no idea how much we pay in total in taxes.  Our take-home after taxes (incl. health care deductions) is not the end of the taxes we pay.  We can easily justify calculating that at least 10% of our take-home goes into sales taxes, gas taxes, etc.  What little we buy or pay for with our take-home pay that is not subject to sales or some other tax, is greatly over shadowed by huge taxes on gasoline, cigarettes, liquor, entertainment, parking, etc.

Then there are other, more indirect taxes.  Taxes on corporations, whether income taxes, excise taxes, ... , highway and bridge tolls, etc. are all passed onto the consumer eventually.  Corporate profit margins must be maintained as business fundamentals dictate.  All costs are part of the cost of the product or service, or the cost of doing business.  As such the product or service price must be adjusted upward to compensate for any increase in the cost of doing business.  Businesses doing business with other businesses pass these costs (corporate income taxes, ..., tolls) on to the ultimate customer: YOU and ME.

Any taxes (excise, etc.) or tolls levied on the electric or telephone companies are included in the price of the service or are collected through surcharges.  They are treated no different than increases in the cost of copper for wire.  And of course the taxes on the companies producing the copper and the wire are included along with all the transportation costs including highway tolls and use taxes.  Note that highway use taxes and tolls are designed to make the users of the highways pay the cost of the highways, but it is the consumer of all products who actually pays all of those taxes in the prices paid in the store, at the gas pump, in the utility bills, etc, etc.

It has been said, and it may be a fact, that corporations do not pay taxes, they collect taxes for the government.  The individual, however, never knows how much he/she actually pays to the government via these taxes passed along through the price of goods and services.  Never-the-less, make no mistake, the consumer pays these hidden taxes one way or another.  Some say that is as it should be.  Others say they have a right to know how much they are paying to the government through taxes, direct and indirect.  And that these taxes should be assessed as direct taxes to insure the tax burden is shared correctly.  Politicians do not want to convert any these hidden taxes (especially sales taxes) into straight income taxes.  The real tax bite is so large that the people would scream loud enough to "throw the bums out".  Further-more don't think for one minute that if these taxes on corporations were removed that companies would reduce the prices of their goods and services accordingly, except as the government forces them to do so, via audit and assessment against their profit margins.  Greed is too strong a factor to permit that kind of honesty in returning money to consumers.  Competition is theoretically supposed to force prices down but that is a farce of another subject.

13.  Instead of letting the rich get richer 18% per year as happened in the last 10 years (1990's) while the poor got 6% poorer, slow the rich down with additional taxes.  Use this money to raise the level of the poor.

What is wrong with the rich getting only 10% richer over the next decade while the poor hold even?

Notes 14 - 16

1. Religion:  The old adage, "Western philosophy is more religious than philosophical.  Eastern religions are more philosophical than religious.", is the operative in this section.  We are dealing with Freedom, Democracy and Capitalism.  Consequently, only those religions that effect Freedom, Democracy and Capitalism are being considered here.  Those Eastern religions that are not European transplants, that are not big capitalistic businesses, that have never sent an army (trained killers/murderers) to vanquish non-believers, that never used or encouraged slavery, that have never placed women in lower status, are not being discussed.   We are discussing The Killer Religions. For example Christianity and Islam have an unbroken history of slaughter and slavery.

1.1. Religions do not accept any democratic vote that goes against their beliefs and will vote other beliefs out of existence.  They are a business that sells services: weddings, funerals, protection against evil, etc. They have full time employees usually paid minimum except at the top of the organization - any "Thou Shall Not Kill" mandates usually apply only to believers and even then there are exceptions  - Thou Shall Not Kill except, except, ..., except. - often used by capitalism to as the call to arms in a push for economic wars

1.2. Religions are not democratic either.  They are completely autocratic.  They do not tolerate internal democracy.  Members are not permitted to vote on what they should believe about their Deity and His Word.  There is "The Story" about how The Deity revealed "The Word" to humanity.  This Word is The Only Word.  Any members, who disagree with the 'official' interpretation of The Word of The Deity, are dismissed from the religion if they cannot be rehabilitated (sometimes via torture) or "Saved".  This dismissal, for many years for most religions (still for some), meant death for those blasphemers, heretics, infidels, apostates, ... , etc.  Religions are not tolerant, even though some preach tolerance.  The history of religion shows that they loathe to suffer the existence of non-believers, including other religions.

1.2.1. If you claim a monopoly on truth, then it is an insult to you and your Deity, when someone claims a different truth.  That same someone threatens your control over the minds of your children.  This is considered as a threat to the well being (spiritual first, physical next) of your children.  Many "someones" have died in the past and present because of these lines of thought.

2. "New" Religions: Some of those dismissals, mentioned above, resulted in new religions.  Meaning:

2.1.   a new interpretation of The Word.  e.g.  The proliferation of Protestant religions in protestation of the Catholic (once the only Christian) religion.

2.2.   a New Word (sometimes with a New Story of revelation).  e.g. Adam Smith and the Mormons.

2.3.   a new Deity, often called by the same Name as the old Deity (e.g. God of the Old Testament and the modern God [of, or from, Europe]) and often claiming to be the same Deity.   A quick look at a few aspects (below) of each Deity shows THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.

2.3.1. God of the Old Testament (Yahweh):

2.3.1.1. Polygamy:  Good originally.  The successful have more children after the manner of the ancient Egyptians.  Now NOT GOOD???

           2.3.1.2. Proselytism:  No.

2.3.1.3. Blasphemy punished by: Originally???  Now???

2.3.1.4. Life after death: No. ???

2.3.1.5. Slaughter, Slavery and Genocide: No.

2.3.2. God of or from Europe (God):

2.3.2.1.   Polygamy:  Evil.  But have as many children as possible so we will out-number other religious groups and/or have plenty of cannon fodder for economic wars masquerading as religious wars.

2.3.2.2. Proselytism:  Strongly advocates.  Convert the world and they become "saved" (and our markets).  Leads to world domination. e.g. The history of European world domination:  "First come the bibles, then come the soldiers...".

2.3.2.3. Blasphemy punished by:  Death, in the past (sometimes by torture), not so much in the present.

2.3.2.4. Life after death: Yes.  In Heaven, Hell (sadistic eternal torture), or purgatory.

2.3.1.5. Slaughter, Slavery and Genocide: Yes, repeatedly throughout their history.

2.4. sometimes with even a new Deity and a new Name (e.g. Allah).  Although Islam claims Allah and God are the same Deity, throughout most of history to believe in God is to forfeit your life to believers in Allah.

2.4.1. The God of Islam (Allah):

             2.4.1.1. Polygamy:  Good.

2.4.1.2. Proselytism:  Very strongly advocated.  Convert or die, was historically the way Islam spread.  Even now, infidels (non-believers in Allah) lives are forfeit.

2.4.1.3. Blasphemy punished by: death in the past (often by torture) and the present. e.g. Salman Rushdie's death sentence (they even have a name for these death sentences).

2.4.1.4. Life after death: Yes.  In Paradise (for men) or endless torture??

2.3.1.5. Slaughter, Slavery and Genocide: Yes, repeatedly throughout their history.  Slavery and the enslavement of women continues today in many parts of the world.

2.5. sometimes with even a new Deity and the same name: God.  The God worshipped by Black Americans has never ordered genocide or supported slavery.

2.5.1.   The Christian God of Black America:

            2.5.1.1.     Polygamy:  N/A

            2.5.1.2. Proselytism:  Very little.

2.5.1.3. Blasphemy punished by: Not punished or assumed to be against the God of Europe (the God of the slave masters).

2.5.1.4. Life after death: Yes.  In Heaven or Hell (with less torture).

2.5.1.5. Slaughter, Slavery and Genocide: Never.
