11.  Solutions 1: Immediate

11.1.       Excess Resources Taxes - if one has excess resources (a continuously redefined term starting at $200 million in assets) one is definitely benefiting more from the system (plutocracy) than those who are homeless.  We want 25% of their assets (graduated 10% at $100M to 50% at $1B) as excess resources taxes to go directly to bringing up the bottom and solving major problems.  The people at the bottom (homeless, have-nots, etc.) are the casualties, as in a war, of capitalism.  The rich are always getting richer and the poor getting poorer and this produces those casualties.  Excess Resources Taxes are not aimed at "income".  Instead Excess Resources Taxes are aimed at the basis of wealth: Assets.  The intent is to slow the growth of the wealth of the rich while funding the cost of treating the casualties.

11.1.1.            Various studies, over the last few years, show that the rich are getting richer at about 16% per year while the poor get poorer at about 6% per year.  Proponents of Excess Resources Taxes say let the rich get richer a little slower for three reasons:

11.1.1.1.      To feed, house, council, educate, reeducate, retrain and rehabilitate the casualties,

11.1.1.2.      Reduce the ability of the rich in the areas of buying our government (legally, of course, via lobbying, feathering the nests of elected officials with golden parachutes) and passing laws that are counter to the will of an educated and informed electorate,

11.1.1.3.      reduce, over time, the numbers of individuals controlling billions of dollars.  These people are potential Power Mad Nuts.  Power does corrupt.  They are Monarchs within the framework of Democracy.  Many are constantly trying to subvert democracy and remove or prevent laws that protect the people from the effects of the greed of these Monarchs.  They naturally tend to change our democracy into a plutocracy (government by the rich and powerful).  As mentioned before, most of the laws in a democracy are to control greed.  Proponents of this solution state that until the world has enlightened democracy that limits the power of these modern day monarchs, greed driven power mad megalomaniacs will continue to set human beings against each other (WARS) for the profit of selling arms to both sides AND frightened neighbors. ...[Note: present a classic "rich power mad nut" story somewhere before these uses of this phrase]

11.1.2.            Actually transfer ownership to "the people" or money equivalent for the rehabilitation of "the peoples' casualties".  This way “the people” get a little richer too, instead of poorer.

11.1.2.1.      These are real casualties from the wars: acquiring and/or protecting the wealth of the rich.

11.1.3.            Much of the wealth of the rich is tied up in the production of arms: hand guns, assault weapons, ..., tanks, planes, bombs, ships, missiles, ..., advanced space weapons systems. [ an advantage of Japan: out of the weapons racket which requires periodic wars and threats of wars to maintain the arms business and associated profits ]

11.1.4.            We would like to phase out wealth based upon arms production.  They can hire a group of thugs from country A and send them to country B to commit atrocities in the "proclaimed" name of A.  Thus starting a war and sell arms to both sides or at least one side.  Press coverage causes fear in other countries who reevaluate their arms needs: more arms sold now and for years to come.

11.1.4.1.      The owners and major stockholders of weapons manufacturers should be investigated in the same manner as the owners of legalized gambling organizations.  Organized activities behind weapons manufacturers is far more important than whether a gambler is being systematically cheated by organized activity behind the casino.

11.2.       Education Imperative:  To cut education funds and/or  education research funds is to subvert democracy (uneducated electorate can be told anything) and impose slavery (illegal to educate slaves).   To function properly a democracy must have an educated vigilant electorate – more and better education is mandatory.  Make it a real education - never let the money interests have such strategic advantages as cutting education so that the “free” press can tell an uneducated majority how to think, feel and vote - force the greedy to fund the actions required to keep greed focused and directed toward real progress and away from taking over the electorate and the government and changing our direction to theirs.

11.2.1.            Education must be highly funded (excess resources taxes or some other) because ignorance is slavery.  Remember that capitalism flourishes where slavery is legal.  Those systems are always maintained by deliberately not educating the slaves.  And in “free” systems capitalism always seeks to pay the least possible to the workers.  In order to move from a slave to a free system under capitalism it has always required a war of rebellion, civil war, etc. at the National level; strikes and civil disobedience, etc. on the local level.  Capitalist do not want to give up the extra profits that accompany slavery of every kind.  Hence it is necessary to have child labor laws,--- safety laws --- laws governing the number of hours an employee must work without extra compensation --- laws against sweat shops  ---  laws against firing employees for no good reason just before they become eligible to retire on a company funded pension --- ... This large number, and growing, of "Labor Laws" is necessary.  These laws control the greed of individual employers.  As individual employers invent new ways to take advantage of employees, new laws are belatedly passed to plug the new holes in the shield against the ill-effects of uncontrolled greed.

11.2.2.            Some say the modern “free” system is still slavery.  Click The Company Store.  The modern slaves get paid almost enough to satisfy their needs, any "wants" come at the expense of some needs.  This keeps the modern slaves on the treadmill.  The Company Store maintains this situation.  If the slaves get paid more, the cost of all goods/needs will increase to keep the slaves indebted to The Company Store.  Somehow, because there are so many businesses involved, we tend to loose sight of the facts that we are slaves: we must work or suffer dire consequences.  As mentioned before, the existence, and maintenance, of the bottom is the whip in the “free” system.  Fear of the whip (Physical or Economic) and minimal education is how any slave system is maintained.

11.2.3.            Teach “Thinking Fundamentals”.  Mandate Chess or Go for every student.  Note: Japan's national game is GO.  These games quickly teach that impulsive, poorly thought out, action fails repeatedly.

11.2.4.            Popularize the debate again.  Education must extend to include Popular Politics - a magazine we need like Popular Science or Popular Mechanics – Dual Editors for pro and con every issue.  We must teach everyone how to see through rhetoric, misleading ads and nonsense.

11.2.5.            Publicly owned press - or at least one --- Dual Editors for pro and con every issue.

11.3.       Extended Equal Time Law.  Equal Time for the candidates AND for the reading of The Record of the Candidates (the voters' memory: creates enlightened voters) AND for the posting of the sources and amounts of their donors.

11.4.   End wars, started by International Corporations, in Africa, Brazil,  etc. for control of the natural resources (diamonds, other gems, gold, raw minerals, oil, wood, etc.) in these countries.  Start with pinpointing the source of the arms involved.  Many of these countries can't feed their people.  So if the entire country is poor (They don't have any money), how can rebel groups or oppressive governments afford to buy arms?    By selling, or promising to sell, the country's resources?   The people of these countries should be benefiting from the wealth of their natural resources.  Instead the people are dying while factions fight over the natural resources to sell out to some outside interests and leave the people poorer.  When a country is rich in natural resources but their people are living in poverty, SOMETHING IS WRONG.  Stop pretending that the people are just stupid for allowing themselves to be conned out of their riches and recognize that some corporation (and/or individual Power Mad Nut) is getting rich (NOT ACCIDENTALLY) instead of the people of these countries.  Maybe the U.N. should have an international detective squad working on these burglaries (theft of 3rd world resources by unscrupulous individuals, corporations, 1st world countries on behalf of indigenous corporations).  Find them and fine them for restitution (to the people of these countries) and penalties (the cost of catching and publicizing/prosecuting, the cost of U.N. peacekeeping).  For example consider the Nigeria - Biafran War:  Who funded Biafran arms in the attempt to take away (as a new free ? country named Biafra) the oil producing part of Nigeria?  Was it the U.S. oil company that is now polluting that part of Nigeria while extracting that oil in the least ecological (cheapest but deadliest) way?

11.4.1.    U.N. Peacekeeping must be extended to the impounding of the country's resources over which corporate sponsored factions are fighting.  The U.N., as part of the peacekeeping process, should see to it that the exploitation these resources be done by and for the people of the countries involved.  Step in when a country appears to need to spend large amounts of money on arms to fight off neighboring countries (arms funded how?) or to oppress their own people.  Step in when governments start selling their countries natural resources for personal gain/POWER.  STOP PRETENDING that these countries are just full of stupid people, RECOGNIZE OUTSIDE INFLUENCE and DO SOMETHING.

11.4.1.1.    There is lengthy data showing the U.S. CIA has been involved in arms running, dope running, the destabilization of countries and the assassinations of leaders of countries.  The saying is, respect to Africa leaders, "If they (Corporations, CIA, etc.) can't buy 'em off, then they kill 'em off".   There is ample evidence that the U.S. is a white racist country that has consistently (with very few exceptions) applied that policy to Black American leaders.  Before that they did it to Africans who "sold" slaves to the slavers.  Those Africans who didn't sell out were shipped out, as slaves.  Africa has been raped repeatedly since U.S. Slavery began.  It is still going on while the world pretends it is not happening.  Like they pretended terrorism didn't exist.  I repeat, When a country is rich in natural resources but their people are living in poverty, SOMETHING IS WRONG.

11.4.2.    End IMF and other international lending organizations support of rogue and oppressive regimes by forcing them to forgive all debts when the people of the country take over in a democracy, NOT A PLUTOCRACY run by INTERNATIONAL BIG MONEY.  i.e.  End  IMF charging newly freed countries for the debts incurred by former rouge regimes and used to purchase arms instead of the intended development.

11.4.2.1.    There have been many cases where Foreign Aid and IMF funds have been tied to, or specifically assigned to, 1st world corporations.  These corporations then squandered the money, overran and over-billed and/or built infrastructure that benefited themselves or other corporations.  Very little trickled down to the people of any of these "3rd world" (kept down) countries.

12. Solutions 2: Intermediate Term: - working toward the long term solution of Leisure and Luxury for everyone forever: S A A - E E S (pronounced SAW EASE) is the Society for the Advancement of Automation --- as an End to Economic Slavery.  The need for such a society becomes obvious once we know that Total Automation is coming.  The picture below shows what must be done.  Capitalism and Total Automation appear to be mutually exclusive.  A transition must be planned and accomplished: The Bridge.  The Abyss, the chasm labeled chaos, could swallow humanity; we already possess the means (H-bombs) to destroy humanity.   Or perhaps the 10% who own 90% of the wealth will be all that survive.

12.1.       Introduction - Total automation is coming.  It is as unstoppable as the modern car or airplane after the model T or Kitty hawk.  Most people will not be working because the robots/machines are doing most, then all the work.  How are they to live: (1) like the Alphas of Brave New World or (2) like 1984 where Big Brother is an 'intelligent' computer?

12.2.       Planning the transition from 90% working, 10% unemployed to 10% working, 90% unemployed.

13. Solutions 3: Long Term: Leisure and Luxury for ALL and Forever.  Totally Automated Society = Leisure and Luxury for everyone including those who choose to work.

13.1.       Technological introduction - Total Automation - Economic Perpetual Motion

13.1.1.            The Robot - 4 foot, 2 inches tall, seeing, hearing, walking, talking plastic robot that can perform skilled and unskilled labor.

13.1.2.            The New Slave - Teach these robots to mine ore, build factories, to build robots, build 'goodies' for people in remote parts of the earth then on the moon, on the planets.

13.1.3.            The Expansion Sequence - The robots build robot manned space ships on the planets and send them to the stars.  Their mandate: If you find planets that human beings can live on, mine ore build factories, build robots, build roads, bridges and dwellings for human use, build space ships to come back and ferry us there.  If you find other planets, mine ore, build factories, build more robot space ships, send them to the stars.  This represents a bacteriological growth rate of robot space ships moving out to more and more stars.  With such a growth rate humanity can, riding on the robot space ships, expand over the entire Universe eventually, or expand into the Universe until the end of time, whichever comes first.

13.2.       Economic introduction

13.2.1.            Economic Perpetual Motion:    With robots doing all the work and robot starships carrying us to the stars, we have an unusual situation.  If all of humanity died out for whatever reason, the robots would continue manufacturing things and robots and starships until the end of time or the end of the Universe.  That is a kind of Economic Perpetual Motion.

13.2.2.            The CREDIT is a medium of exchange within this totally automated society.  The 'goodies' of the civilization are 'purchasable' from automated factories.  It represents one's CREDIT to humanity.  Once earned, credits are never lost.  Credits provide you with a level of living equivalent to your contribution(s) to the civilization.  When one makes a contribution, one earns credit and one's level of living increases.  If your invention, book, art, etc., looses favor over time, your level of credit remains at its highest attained (determined by usage as recorded by the automated system  --- you also earn credits for finding holes in the automated system.  Beat the system and you earn credits, and the system gets improved, continuously.)

13.2.3.            Of course associating with persons with high credits earns credits as it does for completed courses.

13.2.4.            Any job carries status (credits) - so few people working because there are so few jobs - very high credits go with working.  Working is one way to get those excess goodies (big yachts, etc.)

13.2.5.            High credits come from the arts also based on the size of the artists' following.

13.2.6.            Live well with no job (Luxury level of the bottom is continuously rising) - the more education you get from your robot tutors, the better you live. - invent something that people use, you move up a notch permanently - not back down when the invention is replaced by something better - create some art ... up a notch

13.2.7.            Solve some of humanity's problems and move up a notch and maybe even a job (access to more upward notches) implementing your solution

13.3.       Educational introduction

13.3.1.            Personal Robot Tutor: "your free ride through life has been paid for by the blood, sweat and tears of all humanity prior to the establishment of this totally automated society.  We hope you will contribute something to humanity, but you don't have to do anything but enjoy your life.  Our fundamental premise is that the better you are educated, the more likely you will be able to contribute something to society or humanity.  On that basis the level of your free ride through life will be increased with every course you complete.  Large increases in your level of living come when you contribute something ... " .  The robot tutor is looking at the data base(s) of all human knowledge and emulating the best presentations by the best human professors.

13.4.       Political introduction

13.4.1.            Suppose you had, instead of power mad nuts and bullshit artists, you had the best qualified people to vote into office and you can voice your opinion and have it heard by the robots and tabulated as an opinion or a vote.

13.4.2.            You can even ask the candidates questions via the nearest robot slave.  Then you can see and hear the candidates reply, not necessarily live.  If the candidate has ever spoken publicly on any subject, your local robot slave can show you that speech.

13.4.3.            The nearest robot can also provide you with the complete or compressed record of any candidate.

13.5.       Sociological introduction

13.5.1.            The machines know you and your likes and dislikes and can match your friends and associates to you.

13.5.2.            The Transition - full employment until it is set up then retire in leisure and luxury - your grand children may not have to work.

13.5.3.

13.5.4.

13.5.5.

13.5.6.            move

13.5.7.
